A blue-spotted toby stands out against black in this Red Sea photograph by Cobi Hay Yacobi. Blue and yellow markings cover the small fish, drawing attention to its face and rounded body. Printed on stretched matte canvas, the photograph offers a close view of marine life in three landscape sizes for your living room, study or office.
Meet the blue-spotted toby
This small pufferfish belongs to the family Tetraodontidae. Its scientific name is Canthigaster cyanospilota, and its range includes the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. The blue markings are part of its identification: spots and short lines cover the body, with lines spreading outward around the eyes.
Dark, saddle-shaped bands cross the upper body. The pattern combines broad areas of color with much finer detail around the face and tail. The FishBase species account describes its markings, distribution and classification. Knowing what to look for makes the photograph more than a quick impression of a yellow fish against darkness.
Look from the eye to the body markings
The photograph concentrates on the blue-spotted toby and the contrast between its coloring and the background. Small lips, a prominent eye and the blue pattern are visible. The surrounding black gives those details room, without another large subject competing for attention.
From a distance, the main visual elements are the colored fish and the dark field around it. Move closer to follow the finer lines around the face. That change of scale can make the print useful above low furniture, where you can see the whole composition across the room and approach it for a closer look.

Canvas and the inner wooden frame
Your blue-spotted toby photograph is printed on matte canvas with non-toxic latex inks. The canvas is stretched over an inner frame of sustainably sourced pine, 0.75 in (1.9 cm) deep. The photograph continues around the edges, and hanging hardware is included. It arrives ready to hang without a decorative outer frame.
The wooden support is already inside the canvas. You can leave the wrapped edges visible or choose a separate outer frame to coordinate with your furniture. When planning a group of pictures, allow space for the complete arrangement, including the gaps between pieces.
Three landscape sizes and prices
- 12 × 8 in (30 × 20 cm) — $69 USD
- 30 × 20 in (76 × 51 cm) — $149 USD
- 36 × 24 in (91 × 61 cm) — $169 USD
Each size may vary by about 3 mm (1/8 in). For a blue-spotted toby print above a sofa, compare the canvas width with the seating below. For a smaller wall, try marking out a paper rectangle first. If you need another size, contact us to discuss the options.
Price and shipping
Prices start at $69 USD. Shipping is free to the USA, Canada and Australia. Shipping to other eligible countries depends on canvas size and quantity and is shown at checkout before payment. The English shop does not ship to the EU, the EEA or the UK. Outside the USA, import duties or taxes may apply.
Place it beside the textures of your room
The room images show the blue-spotted toby above a linen sofa in the medium and large sizes. The small print rests on a side table, leaning against the wall. These arrangements offer two starting points: a picture above seating, or a smaller piece beside objects you already display.
In an office, consider a wall above a low cabinet where the dark background remains visible around the fish. Keep the canvas away from direct sunlight, high heat and excessive moisture. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Choose your size after measuring the intended position, then add it to your cart.
