This anemonefish canvas brings a close view of life among an anemone’s tentacles to your wall. Cobi Hay Yacobi photographed the fish in the Red Sea, where the animal and its host share the same small space. The image is available on stretched matte canvas in three landscape sizes, for a dining area, living room or office.
The animal in your anemonefish canvas
The Red Sea anemonefish, Amphiprion bicinctus, is a member of the damselfish family. It is also called the twoband anemonefish: two pale bands cross its yellow-orange body. One lies just behind the head, while the other crosses farther back. Adults live in lagoons and on outer reefs.
This fish associates with several species of sea anemone. A protective mucus coating helps it live among the host’s stinging tentacles. The relationship gives the fish shelter while the anemone benefits from its resident. The photograph shows that close association directly, with the fish nestled among the tentacles.
During breeding, the eggs attach to a surface, and the male guards and aerates them. The FishBase account of this species covers its appearance, habitat and breeding behavior. These details describe the species; the photograph itself is a view of the fish within its host.
A photograph built around shelter
The anemone’s tentacles surround the fish, making its immediate habitat part of the composition. This anemonefish canvas keeps the animal and the place it shelters together in one view. You can follow the fish’s outline, then look at the overlapping tentacles around it.
The landscape layout gives the relationship between those shapes room across the picture. Display it somewhere you can approach as well as view from a distance, such as a wall beside a dining table. That lets the larger arrangement and the smaller details each become part of how you see the print.

How the photograph becomes a canvas
Your anemonefish canvas is printed with non-toxic latex inks on matte canvas, then stretched over an inner wooden frame. The support uses sustainably sourced pine and is 0.75 in (1.9 cm) deep. The photograph wraps around the edges. Hanging hardware is included, and the canvas arrives ready to hang.
No decorative outer frame is included. The inner wooden support is part of the product, so the canvas is already stretched. You can display the wrapped edges or choose a separate outer frame that suits other artwork in the room.
Choose from three landscape sizes
- 12 × 8 in (30 × 20 cm) — $69 USD
- 30 × 20 in (76 × 51 cm) — $149 USD
- 36 × 24 in (91 × 61 cm) — $169 USD
Each size may vary by about 3 mm (1/8 in). Before selecting your anemonefish canvas, measure the available wall width and height. Allow space above chair backs, lamps and furniture. For a different size, contact us to discuss your requirements.
Price and shipping
Prices begin at $69 USD. Shipping is free to the USA, Canada and Australia. Shipping to other eligible countries depends on canvas size and quantity and is shown at checkout before payment. The English shop does not ship to the EU, the EEA or the UK. Outside the USA, import duties or taxes may apply.
From a dining area to a shared office
The room images place the anemonefish canvas above a light oak dining table in the two larger sizes. The small version leans against the wall on the tabletop. Use the table as a reference for the amount of wall space you want the photograph to occupy.
A wall beside office seating is another possible position. Compare a paper outline of your chosen size from both a seated and standing viewpoint. Once you have a position in mind, select the size, add the print to your cart and check the order details before payment.
